The European Union-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the European-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) have helped the country attract foreign direct investment (FDI) from EU member states.
Even though foreign investors have become net sellers on the stock market, they have fled to bonds and are waiting for future investment opportunities, said Tran Van Dung, Chairman of the State Securities Commission of Viet Nam (SSC).
Viet Nam has some great advantages while competing with regional countries in attracting capital flows moving out of China after the Covid-19 pandemic, experts have said.
